Custom DEF Tank -Urea Tank for Generators

When selecting a urea tank—especially a urea tank for generators—commercial and industrial generator OEMs quickly see the clear advantages of a custom‑fabricated polypropylene DEF urea tank over a traditional stainless‑steel design. Whether you call it a urea storage tank, a DEF urea tank, or simply a urea tank diesel installers depend on, our rust‑proof polymer solution delivers measurable value.

Tangible cost‑savings

One long‑time customer who builds 50‑ to 100‑gallon industrial generators cut hard costs by more than 34 % after switching from self‑built stainless tanks to our turnkey plastic assemblies. By outsourcing to us, they also freed two full‑time employees and reclaimed valuable shop floor space—proof that smarter urea tanks boost both profitability and productivity.

Performance that protects your engine

Polypropylene is 100 % corrosion‑resistant, so urea in diesel fuel tank systems stays uncontaminated. Contaminants simply can’t cling to our smooth substrate, making routine maintenance quicker and easier. Each unit is engineered to fit the exact real‑estate envelope inside your genset, so every cubic inch of capacity is put to work.

A greener footprint

Our manufacturing process is environmentally responsible: we recycle every ounce of unused polymer, giving you a sustainable urea tank option without sacrificing performance.

Choose the urea tank solution that powers your generators for the long haul. Reach out today to spec the perfect urea tank for generators in your next industrial or commercial project.

CPF DEF Tank Benefits

Poly Urea Tanks Will Not Corrode

Custom poly urea tanks are designed specifically for DEF Gen-set, using materials that do not react with DEF. This ensures the purity and effectiveness of your DEF, protecting your SCR systems from damage. Unlike stainless or aluminum, urea tanks made out of polypropylene plastic are resistant to corroding (even in a moisture-rich environment).

Poly Is Much Easier to Clean than Aluminum

Polypropylene is a homogeneous material that protects urea against many types of contamination. Therefore, poly has excellent chemical resistance, which protects the material from many organic solvents, acids, and bases. There is no need to worry about your urea tanks ever rusting or corroding because they are made up of poly, a chemically inert material. Moreover, the cleaning process of your DEF tank will be much easier. Most particles that attach to polypropylene slide off it easily.

Poly Tanks Are Durable

Due to outstanding durability, polypropylene plastic doesn't crack upon any ordinary external force and can even resist the impact of a sledgehammer. This durability reduces the need for frequent replacements.

More Friendly to the Environment

CPF engages in a wide range of green initiatives that demonstrate our commitment to doing business in an environmentally responsible manner. In this regard, we are adhered to help reduce carbon emissions, preserve wooded areas and biodiversity, and keep our air and water clean. Learn more about our Green and Lean Initiatives.

CPF Reclaims Material

Following our environmental responsibilities, we reclaim cut material in our factories and weld together to form additional sheets for more work. Thus, significantly reducing unnecessary waste. Also, the scrap material is reground with the supplier and recycled for future use.

We Offer Product Support

Our team of technicians comes directly to you for any repair or modification to your product. Each technician is a full-time CPF employee that receives regular training. Our product support includes warranty claims, aftermarket modification product support, and post-warranty product support. Learn more about how our product support team can help you.

Contact Our Product Specialist

Are you facing challenges with your current urea tank for generators? Looking for gen-set solutions? Many businesses encounter common pain points with standard urea tanks that can hinder the efficiency and reliability of their SCR systems. Contact us and learn how custom poly urea tanks can help ease these issues and enhance your operations.

Why Custom Fabrication of your Poly urea Tank

With a custom fabrication you can design any specific size, shape, and any other preferences you may have for your diesel exhaust fluid tank (DEF tank). Additionally, our engineers and designers can collaborate with you to improve results and devise such a design, ensuring your next project will be a success. We design each tank according to your specifications and drawing submittal. Engineers nest product designs to keep scrap to a minimum and to avoid any material waste. After approving the drawing, we’ll start manufacturing your custom DEF tanks.

Moreover, if you are still manufacturing your own DEF tanks, outsourcing to us will free up your manpower and floor space. Given that labor is a huge expense, this can allow you to focus on your core business better. Also, a polytank is much cheaper than a stainless steel urea tank. Below are a few other reasons to have a custom fabrication of your poly urea tank for generators:

Large poly tank sizes

The custom fabrication of products allows the manufacture of substantial sizes of your custom diesel exhaust fluid tank as well. Since there is no limit in size, the custom fabrication allows you to maximize the real estate/gallonage of bulk DEF fluid in your polytank.

Custom shapes

One of the additional capabilities of CPF is that we provide custom shapes and designs of products and tanks. Our engineers and designers use CAD/CAM automation, and our CNC routers allow skilled fabricators to make a two-dimensional shape that can fulfill nearly any requirement you may have.

Internal or integrated structure

Tanks are built with an integrated design that is almost impossible to do with other types of tanks. The only method for the production of other types of tanks is from the tiring process of molding. On the other hand, in CPF urea tanks, we can build into the design all the compartments, work surfaces, mounting locations without any mold.

If you are looking for specific measures and customizing your DEF tanks, a custom fabrication may be a better solution. Each tank is manufactured to your specifications and/or drawing submittal. After approving the drawing we’ll start the production of your poly tank.

Low run quantities

This is one of our products and polytanks' most useful features as the capital investment for such tanks is not as extensive compared to molded tanks. New designs do not require a mold as we custom fabricate from raw sheets. You need new molds for fiberglass or rotomolded (Rotational Molding) products. Therefore, these molds increase the cost of your product. Therefore, the custom fabrication of your diesel exhaust fluid tank is ideal for low-cost modifications for any new generator design.

Aesthetically Pleasing

DEF/ Urea tanks made of polypropylene are aesthetically much better than other materials as they maintain a clean appearance and last for many years without causing any disturbance. Also, the rectangular shape allows you to have more area for advertising, making your truck more attractive.
