Aquaculture Tanks

Aquaculture includes providing an artificial habitat with controlled conditions for saltwater and freshwater populations, especially for commercial fishing. So, the organizations that grow and harvest fish and shrimp have come to rely on us to custom fabricate their aquaculture systems to their strict specifications in compliance with their controlled conditions. We provide flexibility in both sizing and shapes without rendering a large extra capital investment. Additionally, due to our homogenous polypropylene materials, we reduce the likelihood of biohazard, which can threaten living organisms, including humans. Furthermore, our tanks provide a clean and safe just-like natural environment as any waste doesn’t adhere well to our plastic. Our aquaculture fish tanks provide another additional feature, i.e., its strength, flexibility, and endurance to external forces as it is less prone to piercing, denting, leaking, and rusting.

CPF Poly Aquaculture Tanks Benefits

Poly Material Will Not Deteriorate

Unlike fiberglass or steel tanks, that are prone to rust and corrosion, aquaculture tanks made from polypropylene plastic will not deteriorate over time.

Aesthetically Pleasing

The aquaculture tanks made from polypropylene are aesthetically much better than other materials as they maintain a clean appearance and last for many years without causing any disturbance.

Poly Tanks Are Durable

Due to its outstanding durability, polypropylene plastic doesn't crack upon any ordinary external force and can even resist the impact of a sledgehammer.

Poly Tanks Are Much Easier to Clean than Fiberglass or Steel

Its chemical resistance protects the material from many of the organic solvents, acids, and bases. Moreover, your aquaculture tank's cleaning process will be much easier, mainly since detritus don't stick to plastic.

Poly Tanks Don't Poison the Product

Since polypropylene is a chemically inert material, you don't need to worry about chemical reactions that could infect the water and ultimately affect the living organisms residing in the water. Therefore, with a poly tank, you can maintain your standards of purity to keep your fish and shrimp safe from poisoning. Moreover, it is approved for food contact per U.S. Food and Drug Administration as specified in 21 CFR 177.1520.

Free from Harmful Chemical Compounds

Our polypropylene does not contain Perfluorinated and polyfluorinated compounds, including their acid, salts, and pre-cursors such as Polyfluorocarbons (PFCs), Perfluoroalkoxy alkanes (PFAs) and Per-and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFASs), PFNs, Polydioctylfluorene (PFOs) and Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), and Perfluorocarboxylic acids (PFCAs).

Poly Tanks Are Less Prone to Decay and are Rust-Free

Our tanks are rust and corrosion-free. Poly naturally provides a protective barrier against moisture and vapors, which are the leading cause of corrosion. There is no need to worry about your tank rusting or corroding with a poly tank because it is made up of chemically inert material.

More Friendly to the Environment

CPF engages in a wide range of green initiatives that demonstrate our commitment to doing business in an environmentally responsible manner. In this regard, we are adhered to help reduce carbon emissions, preserve wooded areas and biodiversity, and keep our air and water clean. Learn more about our Green and Lean Initiatives.

CPF Reclaims Material

Following our environmental responsibilities, we reclaim cut material in our factories and weld together to form additional sheets for more work. Thus, significantly reducing unnecessary waste. In addition, the scrap material is reground with the supplier and recycled for future use to minimize the initial material investment.

Lightweight Material

Polypropylene used by CPF is a lightweight material that reduces the overall weight of the aquaculture tank. Hence, the travel and movement of such tanks and their raw material are relatively easy compared to the steel tanks or tanks made from fiberglass.

Why Custom Fabrication of your Aquaculture Systems?

You can design any specific size, shape, and any other preferences for your aquaculture systems. Additionally, our engineers and designers can collaborate with you to improve results and devise such a design that ensures your next project will succeed. Each tank is designed according to your specifications and drawing submittal. Engineers nest product designs to keep scrap to a minimum and to avoid any material waste. After approving the drawing, we’ll start manufacturing your aquaculture tank for your fish and shrimp. Below are a few other reasons to have a custom fabrication of your aquaculture systems:

Large sizes

The custom fabrication of products allows for substantial sizes of your aquaculture tanks as well. We can ship components as subassemblies by commercial trucks and assemble them on site. We make our products from sheets 5 feet wide and up to 20 feet long. Also, these sheets can be butt welded together to form larger sizes with minimal loss in strength.

Custom shapes

One of the additional capabilities of CPF is that we provide custom designs of products and tanks. Our engineers and designers use CAD/CAM automation, and our CNC routers allow skilled fabricators to make a two-dimensional shape that can fulfill nearly any customer requirement.

Internal or integrated structure

Tanks are built with an integrated design that is difficult to impossible to do with other types of tanks. The only method for the production of other types of tanks is from the tiring process of molding. On the other hand, in CPF tanks, we can build into the design all the compartments, work surfaces, mounting locations without the aid of any mold.

Low run quantities

This is one of our products and tanks' most useful features as the capital investment for such tanks is not as extensive compared to molded tanks. New designs do not require a mold as we custom fabricate from raw sheets. You need new molds for fiberglass or rotomolded (Rotational Molding) products. Therefore, these molds increase the cost of your product.
